EDUCATION

We are pleased to offer the following classes at Kings Physiotherapy Clinic:

Back Care Education – presents an overview of spine anatomy, posture, body mechanics, lifting techniques, and exercises that will promote wellness and safety. By increasing awareness, the risk of new injury and reinjury may be reduced.

Stress Management – introduces stress, life-style choices, and the relationship of stress to health and well-being. Stress is a fact of life, but need not be a way of life.

Cumulative Trauma Disorder – focuses on prevention as well as management of injuries. Included is an in-depth review of the injury cycle, specifically the potential risks and symptoms associated with repetitive strain injury.

Office Ergonomics – enhances the awareness of potentially harmful work practices, and preventative measures such as postural correction, stretching exercises and ergonomic workstations.

Nutrition Education – addresses what constitutes a healthy diet, with emphasis on carbohydrates and fat intake. The relationship between diet and disease is explained, as well as planning, shopping and cooking meals with good health in mind.

Education sessions can be offered in small groups at the clinic, or at community-based facilities for larger groups.

We often customize our sessions of specific groups. We are also available to develop curriculums based on your needs and objectives.
